Stellerite from Jalgaun, India. It could really be epistilbite, the crystal form gives a hint about it. I really like this one. It's almost transparent so you sence a depth in the stellerite. The matrix consists of a dark greenish black rock and the inner surface of the cavity is covered by a 2mm thick layer of some black mineral. (Size 7x4x3 cm) |
Another rock with stellerite from Jalgaun, India. This one consists of almost nothing but stellerite. There are two groups that have grown together. There are small patches left of the host rock, a bluish green and light brown soft rock. (Size 8x5x3 cm) |
Heulandite from Jalgaun, India. This heulandite crystal is one of the biggest I have seen. It measures 33x17x23 mm. There are also two groups of epistilbite and some white fibric mineral on the base made up of drusy quartz. (Size 5x4x3 cm) |
Epistilbite from Jalgaun, India. This is another great rock. The epistilbite crystal group inside the cavity is just of the right size so it doesn't grow into the other side. The inside of the cavity is filled by the same dark mineral. Almost as black velvet. (Size 5x4x3 cm) |
Epistilbite from Jalgaun, India. Another crystal group, 2.5x2 cm. This one sits on a thin layer of drusy quartz covering a dark mineral. Making the base look dark gray. (Size 5x3x2 cm) |
Calcite with stellerite from Jalgaun, India. It is hard to see the calcite since it lies on the dark mineral. The crystal is 3x2x1.5 cm and have a few internal fractures, seen as colorful reflections inside it. There are two more calcite crystals but covered by the dark mineral and a stellerite crystal group. (Size 7x4x3 cm) |

Apatite from Viitaniemi, Finland. A small cavity filled with light purple apatite crystals. The host rock consists of quartz, albite and the finegrained muscovite called gilbertite. (Size xx cm) |

Pink inesite from Garpenberg. Bought from Britta Bäckman. (Size xx cm) |
Galena from Poworzauy, Poland The surface is covered with crystals showing both cubic and octahedral surfaces. The base rock seems to be made up of yellowish brown fine grained garnet. (Size 6x4x3 cm) |

Törnebohmite from Bastnäs, Riddarhyttan, Sweden. Massive dark green törnebohmite mixed with pale brownish red cerite. On the same rock there also is some lanthanite and malachite. (Size 6x3x2 cm) |

Margarosalite from Jakobsberg, Sweden. The surface of this rock makes up of margarosalite. It is one side of a thin vein crossing through the host rock. The thickness of the surface is under 1 mm. Shows a very strong blue fluorescens in short wave UV, nothing in long wave UV. (Size 6x4x3 cm) |

Rhodocrosite from Marhult, Västergötaland, Sweden. The rock consists of massive rhodocrosite but inly a part of it shows a fresh surface. The rest of the rock shows the typically black surface of manganeese oxides. (Size 7x4x3 cm) |
