You can't visit a mineral fair without buying something and this was no exception. Here are a list of some of the minerals I bought during the fair. Follow this link to read more about "the Kopparberg fair". |

Calcite group from Malmberget, Sweden. This is a very nice specimen. It is a "floater", ie it's been growing in clay and have no broken surfaces. What I have been told was that a pocket in the mine was drained of water and in the bottom they found a number of these specimens. It didn't took so many days until the pocket filled up with water again. Bought from my friend Ingrid from Ställdalen. Size : 5x5x3 cm. |

Laumontite on calcite from Nannestad, Norway. This is my first sample of laumontite. It consists of a number of very brittle crystals sitting on calcite crystals. Size : xx cm. |

Pargasite crystals in calcite. From Pargas, Finland. I suspects that the largest crystal is glued back since it is mostly free of the calcite matrix but I can't see any other signs of it. Maybe it is still in one piece. There are a number of smaller pargasite crystals together with one large. The large have a very nice look. It is smooth and have a "sucked caramel" look from growing into the calcite. Evenso it shows a number of perfect crystal surfaces. Size : xx cm, crystal size xx mm. |

Red pyroxmangite with a dark brown tarnish from Viitaniemi, Finland. Size : 7x4x2.5 cm. |
