Silvery white, flaky , but mostly dull and weathered.

Crystal system Trigonal.
Habitus As foliated aggregates, irregular plates, massive or fibrous.
Cleavage {0001} perfect, laminae flexible, somewhat sectile.
Hardness 1.5-2
Density 7.815
Color Pale lead gray, silvery gray, opaque.
Streak Pale lead gray.
Luster Metallic.

Notes Easy to mistake for Tetradymite.
Locations A rare mineral with two good localities in Sweden.
