Smolianinovite as a brownish yellow crust near erythrine, from Bastnäs.

Occurance In cobalt ores as an oxidation product of smaltite, safflorite and rammelsbergite.
Associates  
Notes Type locality : Bou Azzer, Morocco. First publicised in 1956.
Locations A rare mineral with one locality in Sweden
  • Bastnäs. As yellow coatings together with erythrine in fractures.
  • Other localities exists in Morocco, Australia and Canada.
