Strong bluish white fluorescense in short wave UV (rarely read to pink). Type locality: Franklin, Sussex Co, New Jersey, USA. Because of the cleavage, fragments are showing a rhombic form. Named after Greec words for pearly (Margariotes = pearls) and the crystal form (Sanis = plate or board). |
