Habitus	As foliated books and fine crystalline masses.
Cleavage	Basaly perfect.

Color	Brown, brownish red to red.
Streak	Pale reddish brown.

Notes	Not an IMA recognised mineral, a manganeese variety of biotite.
Locations	A less common mineral, but common in the manganeese mines of Värmland. Långban, Värmland. Harstigen, Persberg, Värmland. Nordmark, Värmland.
